BPC DID YOU KNOW? | COMMUNITY CENTER AT STUYVESANT HIGH SCHOOL

The Community Center at Stuyvesant High School (CCSHS), located at 345 Chambers Street, is a community resource operated by the Battery Park City Authority seven days a week when classes are not in session, with deeply discounted annual membership rates for Battery Park City residents. Day passes are also available to all New Yorkers.

Since reopening this past April, CCSHS is back in full swing with nearly 1,200 members enjoying year round classes free with membership. Here’s some of what’s now being offered at CCSHS – and what’s coming up!

SUMMER HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday-Friday: 3-9PM
Saturday & Sunday: 10AM-6PM

POOL SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday:
o Lap Swim & Family Swim: 3-6PM
o Lap Swim Only: 6-9PM
Saturday & Sunday
o Lap Swim & Family Swim: 10AM-3PM
o Lap Swim Only 3-6PM

SUMMER CLASS SCHEDULE

Children’s Swim Lessons – Sundays through August 28
o Beginner(1): 10-10:45AM
o Beginner(2): 10:45-11:30AM
o Intermediate(1): 11:30AM-12:15PM
o Intermediate(2): 12:15-1PM
o Advanced: 1-1:45PM

Yoga – Mondays through August 29, 6-7PM

Boxing – Mondays & Wednesdays, 6-8:30PM

Tai Chi – Thursdays, 7:15-8:15PM

Badminton Program

And starting this weekend, Saturday tennis is back at CCSHS! A six week session of lessons for all ages will begin this Saturday, July 23 and extend through August 27. Classes are free for members and $60 for non-members.

Instructional Beginner: 12:30-2PM
Instructional Intermediate: 2-3:30PM

YOUTH (Ages 5-7)
Instructional Beginner: 3:30-4:30PM
