Heroes Honored at Annual NYC Police Memorial Ceremony
This morning BPCA hosted the 2019 NYC Police Memorial dedication ceremony, an annual ceremony whereby names of New York City Police Officers who gave their lives in the line of duty are added to the Kowsky Plaza edifice in Battery Park City.
Representing the Authority was Bruno Pomponio, Vice President of Parks Operations, whose son and son-in-law both proudly serve with the NYPD today. He spoke of his connection to the Memorial through their service, as well as the importance of BPCA’s work to maintain this solemn place in of those who make the ultimate sacrifice.
