Early detection saves lives
NOTE: The April 25 Mobile Mammogram Program in Battery Park City has been postponed to a later date. We are working with our partners at Mt. Sinai to reschedule this program soon.
In partnership with Mt. Sinai, BPCA will be hosting a Mobile Mammography Program on Tuesday, April 25, 9AM-3PM at 200 Rector Place (West Thames Street between South End Avenue & West Street).
Patients are eligible for a screening mammogram if they:
– Are age 40 or over
– Have not had a mammogram in the past year
– Have no signs or symptoms of breast disease
To preregister, please call (844) EZMAMMO (844-396-2666). On the day of your appointment, bring:
– Identification
– Health insurance card
– CD with prior mammograms if possible
Early detection saves lives. Remember:
– 99% of women diagnosed with breast cancer at stage 0 and 1 will survive and thrive.
– 85% of women with stage 2 and 3 breast cancer are just as likely as someone without breast cancer to live five more years.
– More than 80% of people diagnosed with breast cancer live for 10 years or longer.
– Regular mammograms reduce the rate of breast cancer death by up to 23% in women ages 40-49.
