North/West Battery Park City Resiliency: Fall 2023 Project Sitewalks

The North/West Battery Park City Resiliency (NWBPCR) Project is designing protective measures along the northern and western portions of Battery Park City to reduce the risks associated with storm surge and sea level rise.

In this latest round of community engagement, please join the NWBPCR project team for a series of sitewalks to learn more about this vital coastal resiliency initiative. At these outdoor sessions, hosted along the project alignment, you will hear about the current conditions, updates, and proposed elements at the 30% Design phase of the project.


Sitewalk 1: Reaches 1-4, Thursday, October 19, 3:30-6:00PM. This session will cover: West St. Crossing/Tribeca, North Esplanade, Rockefeller Park, and Belvedere Plaza.

Sitewalk 2: Reaches 1-4, Saturday, October 21, 10:00AM-12:00PM (rain date: October 22). This session will cover: West St. Crossing/Tribeca, North Esplanade, Rockefeller Park, and Belvedere Plaza.

Sitewalk 3: Reaches 5-7, Saturday, October 21, 1:00-3:00PM (rain date: October 22). This session will cover: North Cove, South Esplanade, and South Cove.

Sitewalk 4: Reaches 5-7, Thursday, October 26, 3:30-6:00PM. This session will cover: North Cove, South Esplanade, and South Cove.
