"Battery Park City and the Authority are not just about the buildings – it’s about the character of the community that has developed over time. Public space has had a new renaissance in New York City, but here in Battery Park City is where it started."
The North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project (NWBPCR) is mapping an approach for protective measures along the northern and western portions of Battery Park City to reduce the risks associated with storm surge and sea level rise. The project is being developed through a progressive design-build process and includes a robust approach to community engagement to ensure public input is considered in project planning.
We want to keep hearing from you!
BPCA and the NWBPCR project team have considered your feedback from previous engagement meetings and now want to share an update on the 30% Design milestone.
Join BPCA for a community meeting on Monday, June 26 at Stuyvesant High School (345 Chambers Street) or via livestream. You will have the chance to hear from experts about design so far, see visualizations, and provide feedback that will help us refine our future design choices.
Two identical in-person presentations have been scheduled at two different times to make it easy to attend. There will be a presentation at 4:30 PM, and one at 6:30 PM, each with a discussion following the presentation.
