“We at the Battery Park City Authority are deeply saddened by the passing of Robert Simko. Whether it was as a long-time neighbor, friend, or as co-founder and publisher of The Broadsheet, he enlivened and connected this community that he so loved.
“While Battery Park City won’t be the same without him, this neighborhood remains a better place because of Robert’s decency and warmth, and he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his wife, Alison, children Lucy and Theo, and his many family and friends across Lower Manhattan and beyond.”
