COMMUNITY NOTICE: NORTH/WEST BATTERY PARK CITY RESILIENCY PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL WORK

In support of the ongoing design of the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project (NWBPCR), starting this week BPCA will continue its geotechnical sampling work on the sidewalk east of 200 Rector Place, as pictured above. Similar to support work that has been previously conducted elsewhere across the project area (March 2022, May 2023, February 2024, March 2024), this effort will help observe and verify current subsurface and groundwater conditions at the location.

Work will be conducted on weekdays only between 9AM and 5PM, and should be completed by the end of February. The sidewalk adjacent to the building will also remain open over the duration of this work. Residents will observe a small track rig (pictured above) during the first portion of the work this week.
