CHILDREN’S FLAG FOOTBALL (Ages 6-10)

Children learn to reflect through the experience of stories. Join us as we explore excellent works of illustrated children’s literature that bring us together in the here and now. Singing and dancing included! No program on 9/5, and 10/10.

A lunch time program for passersby to play a quick game of chess or backgammon. Using clocks, opponents will play 5 minute games that are fast, furious and fun. An instructor will be on hand to offer pointers and tips to improve your game. 

Drop by the Community Room and join seniors from the greater BPC area for conversation,  and informal card and board games. Make new friends and catch up with neighbors.
Adults of all ages are welcome to play Mah Jongg. Some Mah Jongg cards will be available, or bring your own. For more information email: 200rector@bpca.ny.gov.

Play the popular strategy game while getting pointers and advice from an expert. Chess improves concentration, problem solving, and strategic planning — plus it’s fun! For ages 5 and up (adults welcome).

Virginia-born artist Nicole Wray shows off her dexterous range of singing and songwriting, infusing hints of soul, R&B, and hip-hop into head-nodding, funky stories with the power to heal.

Rhythm and grooves fill the air at this Friday evening program. Follow the lead of professional drummers as they guide you through the pulsating beats of traditional African drumming techniques and methods. Drums provided, dancing welcome! 

Experience the energy and vivacity of Afro-Colombian Musical ensemble Rebolu! Learn the traditional steps of cumbia, puya, mapale and bellerengue with an instructor-led movement workshop and then hit the dance floor during a live performance.
