A wonderful opportunity for little gardeners and their accompanying adults to get a bug's-eye-view of the world! Join us as we read stories about the life within our garden beds and then head into the Children’s Garden to water, dig, and admire the plants and flowers all around us!

This BPC park offers a unique setting to observe and sketch the human figure. Each week a model will strike short and long poses for participants to draw. An artist/ educator will offer constructive suggestions and critique. Drawing materials provided, and artists are encouraged to bring their own favorite media.

An exciting fusion of badminton and tennis, pickleball has been proven to strengthen muscles, boost cardiovascular health, and enhance brain function. Each Thursday the net at Esplanade Plaza will be lowered to allow for pickleball games, on a first come first serve basis. Permits are also available at bpca.ny.gov. No program 5/18, 6/15

HK2K FLIX: IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE
Set in the Hong Kong of the early 1960’s, In the Mood for Love (2000), directed by Wong Kar-wai, tells the story of two neighbors who form a strong bond after both suspect their spouses of having an affair. Free popcorn will be served, and a discussion will follow the screenings.
Spend the evening in Battery Park City listening to eclectic voices presented by Asian American Writers’ Workshop. This event will be a reading with a conversation with poets on their ruminations and thoughts on love, queer and otherwise. The lineup will feature Wo Chan, Jasmine Reid, Xan Forest Phillips, and Devyn Manibo.

Singer/songwriter Terre Roche leads this weekly singing program with the beautiful backdrop of the setting sun over the Hudson. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned crooner, the singing circle is perfect for mellow melodies and healthy harmonizing.
