Gardening is a great introduction to teaching us how to care for the environment.

The American architect and sculptor Maya Lin became famous when her anonymous entry won the competition to design the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. Continuing the Young Architects Series, learn more about Maya through a read-aloud of Maya Lin: Artist-Architect of Light and Lines by Jeanne Walker Harvey. Then create collages of your own, envisioning landscapes that you would want to design someday.
