DESCRIPTION:New York City and oysters\, two words that once went together like Maine and lobster. Though that is not the case today\, that might change in the near future. New York Harbor Foundation is organizing a plan to reintroduce oysters into NYC’s rivers. The Foundation along with students from Richard R. Green High School of Teaching will be visiting the south dock of the North Cove Marina to monitor and collect data on oysters placed in the Marina. DESCRIPTION:Waterfront Alliance presents City of Water Day\, a free\, family-oriented\, celebration of the world-class potential of the New York and New Jersey waterfront. \n  \nCity of water Day is the region’s biggest harbor festival. The festival will include free boat tours\, the riotous Con Edison Cardboard Kayak Race\, free rowing\, kayaking\, paddle-boarding\, the Waterfront Activity Fair\, and walking tours that offer opportunities for learning about the rich history of the harbor.
