SUMMARY:Art + Games
DESCRIPTION:School-age children are invited to participate in creative art activities at Rockefeller Park; with an opportunity to run and play as well. Projects include painting\, collage\, clay\, group art projects\, and more. Often the participants are offered recycled materials such as cardboard (great for giant communal cities or play kitchens\, etc.) or cardboard tubes from toilet paper roles (binoculars anyone?). All materials are provided. The art portion of the program takes place for the entire two-hour program. \n  \nStarting at 4:30pm\, lawn games begin. These fun\, group games can include tag\, hula hoop races\, running games\, and tug-of-war and other games suggested by or kids can make up their own games using everything from parachutes to asteroid-balls. Parks Programming Leaders make sure that everyone is included and having fun. All are welcome to join in! \n  \nNo advance registration is required\, so come by\, make art\, and play every Thursday afternoon from May through October.
