As green space is central to Battery Park City, Battery Park City Authority and the Parks Conservancy have been committed to “green” practices since their inception. Former BPCPC Executive Director Tessa Huxley says “Nineteen years ago, what we were doing was revolutionary. Now many of our practices are commonly found not only in the business arena, but in the home.”
