The offices of the Battery Park City Authority will be closed on Thanksgiving (November 27), Christmas Day (December 25), and New Year’s Day (January 1, 2026). There will be no staff onsite, and Teardrop Park’s public restrooms, Wagner Park’s public restrooms and rooftop/elevators, and the Irish Hunger Memorial, will be closed to the public. On the eve of each holiday (November 26, December 24, and December 31, 2025, respectively), the Teardrop Park restrooms, Wagner Park restrooms and rooftop/elevators, and the Irish Hunger Memorial will open at 7:40AM and close at 3:45PM each day. On all other days (excepting Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s Day, as noted above) regular winter hours of operation remain in place – 7:40AM to 6:30PM.
Public restrooms at the BPC Ball Fields are currently closed for ongoing turf replacement and facility upgrades, and are scheduled to reopen on March 2, 2026.
