HOLIDAY NOTE: FOURTH OF JULY IN BATTERY PARK CITY

For the first time in more than a decade, this year’s Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks event will be occurring off Manhattan’s west side. If you choose to view the fireworks from Battery Park City, please note the following for Thursday, July 4.

– The Irish Hunger Memorial will be closing at 7PM.

– Public restrooms are available in Brookfield Place, on the west of Teardrop Park off River Terrace, and via temporary port-o-sans located on the North Esplanade off Chambers Street (please see map above).

– All Battery Park City parks rules & regulations apply, including:

o No open flames
o Please dispose of trash properly
o Please be respectful of our planted areas
o Dogs must be leashed at all times and are permitted on hard surfaces only
