“The Battery Park City Authority is devastated by this attack and offers its deepest condolences to the victims and their families. Our thoughts remain with them – and with everyone impacted by this heinous act of cowardice.
“We are at the same time inspired by the heroic work of our first responders – especially our partners at NYPD’s 1st Precinct – as well as the everyday New Yorkers who did their city proud in pressing moments of peril. “Thank you” hardly seems sufficient, but we are nonetheless grateful beyond words – now and always.
“While we remain broken-hearted we are altogether unbroken in our commitment to making and keeping lower Manhattan an incomparable place to live, work, and visit. We could not be more committed to furthering these efforts with our partners and friends across the greater downtown community.”
