An exciting fusion of badminton and tennis, pickleball has been proven to strengthen muscles, boost cardiovascular health, and enhance brain function. Each Tuesday and Thursday the net at Esplanade Plaza will be lowered to allow for pickleball games, on a first come first serve basis. Permits are also available at bpca.ny.gov. No program 6/19.

Mah-Jongg is a four-person tile game of skill, strategy, and luck! Learn the rules and mechanics of American Mah-Jongg. Join a two hour group lesson with instructor Susan Richards. Join this group of fiber art crafters for a fun afternoon of creativity and camaraderie. Bring your projects, which can include—but are not limited to—knitting, crocheting, embroidery and small-loom weaving.

A wonderful opportunity for little gardeners and their accompanying adults to get a bug’s-eye-view of the world! Join us as we read stories about the life within our garden beds and then head into the Children’s Garden to water, dig, and admire the plants and flowers all around us! Together, we will observe the changing seasons and learn about the pollinators and other insects who help our plants thrive. Gardening is a great introduction to teaching us how to care for the environment.

Get ready to run, pass, and score this fall!

Join Rugby4All for a FREE 8-Week Fall Rugby Program for kids ages 3-12.

The perfect after-school activity for your child to burn off some energy, make new friends, and learn the basics of the world’s best sport in a fun, safe, and positive environment. The coaches are experts at teaching the game through exciting drills and activities. No experience is necessary!

• What: A completely FREE 8-week, non-contact rugby program.
