Each Tuesday and Thursday the net at Esplanade Plaza will be lowered to allow for pickleball games, on a first come first serve basis. Permits are also available at bpca.ny.gov. No program 6/19.

Exercise in disguise! Join in on the fun featuring easy-to-follow Latin dance choreography while working on your balance, coordination and range of motion. A wonderful opportunity for little gardeners and their accompanying adults to get a bug’s-eye-view of the world! Join us as we read stories about the life within our garden beds and then head into the Children’s Garden to water, dig, and admire the plants and flowers all around us! Together, we will observe the changing seasons and learn about the pollinators and other insects who help our plants thrive. Gardening is a great introduction to teaching us how to care for the environment.

This BPC park offers a unique setting to observe and sketch the human figure. Each week a model will strike short and long poses for participants to draw. An artist/ educator will offer constructive suggestions and critique. Drawing materials provided, and artists are encouraged to bring their own favorite media.

Explore the unique environment of Teardrop Park while creating dynamic art. Art teachers lead individual and group projects using clay, collage, paint and more. Referencing our Zero Waste Initiative, projects with a focus on recycled, upcycled, and reused materials will inspire artists to care for our world in creative ways! Art supplies provided. Dress for a mess! For ages 5 and up.

Namaste! Unwind from the day with outdoor yoga. Immerse yourself in this meditative practice- surrounded by the Hudson’s peaceful aura. Strengthen the body and cultivate awareness in a relaxed environment as your instructor guides you through alignments and poses. All levels are welcome. Bringing your own mat is encouraged, as provided accessories are first come first serve.

Mah-Jongg is a four-person tile game of skill, strategy, and luck! Learn the rules and mechanics of American Mah-Jongg. Join a two hour group lesson with instructor Susan Richards. Join this group of fiber art crafters for a fun afternoon of creativity and camaraderie. Bring your projects, which can include—but are not limited to—knitting, crocheting, embroidery and small-loom weaving.
