Summer’s heating up in Battery Park City!

Battery Park City Authority’s 2025 Seasonal Program & Event Guide details a broad range of free programming – including music, art, nature, walking tours, fitness, and more – across Battery Park City from May through October. The Guide features illustrated program offerings organized by monthly event highlights and by those of interest to adults and seniors, school-aged children, and preschoolers, as well as information about community spaces at 200 Rector Place, 6 River Terrace, and the BPC Ball Fields. May 1 – MIREYA RAMOS
Experience the Latin Grammy winning vocalist, musician, composer, producer, arranger and founder of Flor de Toloache, Mireya Ramos, who’s versatility, natural improvisational skills, and beautiful tone has made her one of the top Latin artists in NYC.

May 8 – LIVIA MATTOS
A vibrant and unorthodox power trio led by master accordion player/vocalist Livia Mattos. Her unique style shows her technical prowess and experimental compositions.

May 29CASINO PEOPLE
The indie vibes, pop hooks, melodies, and lyrics of the Casino People spread positivity and good time vibes with genuine, heartfelt tunes.

– The Battery Park City Farmers Market, operated by Down to Earth Markets, will provide healthy, fresh produce from local providers, family-friendly activities will be programmed at the BPC Farmers Market throughout the season. Celebrate the opening day with a special performance by Jazzajilo and a Mother’s Day craft project.

River Terrace will be closed to vehicle traffic from Murray Street to North End Avenue from 7AM-4PM on Sundays, May 11-Nov 23.

BOLLYWOOD COMMUNITY DANCE 
Join IMGE Dance for a performance and community dance workshop. This dance company is rooted in Indian classical, hip hop, and contemporary dance, bringing a new medium of storytelling using a global movement vocabulary.

SALSA COMMUNITY DANCE
Join Las Mariquitas, NYC’s energetic queer and trans salsa band for a community dance extravaganza. The band will kick things off with a movement workshop on the dance floor.

Weaving the textured sounds of his trombone and soulful voice with sincere storytelling, Trevor Turla’s sound is inspired by an amalgamation of American music, from jazz, to rock, and beyond.

JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION
Celebrate Juneteenth, Emancipation Day, with the Federation of Black Cowboys. Enjoy stories about freedom, African American history, with artmaking, live music, sing-alongs, and horseback rides (ages 3 and up).

SWEDISH MIDSUMMER FESTIVAL 
An annual celebration of the summer solstice with traditional music by Paul Dahlin with fiddlers from the American Swedish Institute. Dances around the Midsummer pole led by Scandinavian folklorist Ross Sutter. Make a floral crown, enjoy Swedish delicacies, and more!

The award-winning Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra led by Arturo O’Farrill, has enamored international audiences with its dynamic performances featuring the music of jazz legends and new compositions from the Latin music scene. 

July 31- LADY BLACKBIRD 
Harnessing a mighty voice and fabulous regalia, Lady Blackbird effortlessly portrays heart-rending yearning, and soft, whispered balladry, which imbues her visceral jazz-soul with a journeying independence.

44th ANNUAL BATTERY DANCE FESTIVAL
New York City’s longest-running free public dance festival returns to Rockefeller Park this summer. The Battery Dance Festival brings together spectacular international and local dance companies, each evening ending with “Everybody Dance Now!” Please check batterydance.org for the performance schedule.
