Cyclists Should Use Temporary, One-Block Bike Lane Segment Alongside Stuyvesant High School through week of November 18
Bike lane restored to its standard configuration on November 19
To facilitate ongoing, preliminary site investigation work in support of the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project, starting this week a one block segment of the Hudson River Greenway bike lane will be temporarily diverted between the North Esplanade and Chambers Street. This work is required to determine subsurface conditions at critical locations along the project area.
During this time, northbound and southbound bicycle traffic should proceed through the directly-adjacent Stuyvesant Plaza, which will be clearly marked for this use.
This segment of bike lane will be re-routed through the week of November 18, and restored to its regular location upon completion of work.
UPDATE: The affected bike lane segment was restored to its normal configuration (pictured above) on Tuesday, November 19.
