Located on South Cove’s north end near The Regatta condominium, the South Cove quay was damaged as a result of Tropical Storm Isaias. The quay was lifted and damaged from the force of the tide, as was some planking on the walkway itself and surrounding elements as pictured above. Electrical conduits (and associated blue lights) on that end of cove were also damaged.
This week, residents will see construction fencing erected around the area to facilitate BPCA’s in kind rebuilding of the South Cove quay. Work is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
