Let your inner artist shine! Join other school-age children for art by the Park House. Art teachers lead individual and group projects using clay, collage, paint and more. Dress for a mess! For ages 5 and up.
Exercise in disguise! Join in on the fun featuring easy-to-follow Latin dance choreography while working on your balance, coordination and range of motion. Bring your friends and come prepared for enthusiastic instruction, a little strength training and a lot of fun.
Celebrate Pride Month with a silent disco dance party featuring Gotham Cheer and queer DJ’s from QuietEvents. Breathtaking sunset views and Lady Liberty will serve as our backdrop as we dance to the hottest beats pumped through light-up headphones. Headphones are free; ID is required.
Paint in watercolor or use pastels and other drawing materials to capture the magical vistas of the Hudson River and the unique landscape of South Cove. An artist/educator will help participants of all levels with instruction and critique. Materials provided, and artists are encouraged to bring their own favorite media.
Enjoy the annual celebration of all the creatures that migrate through and pass by Battery Park City. The morning will feature a host of activities presented by several guest environmental organizations working to make our city more sustainable to migrators. In celebration of Poetry Month, observe 50 years of the renowned Nuyorican Poets Café with a performance in partnership with Battery Park City Authority. Enjoy poetry and live music inspired by Julia de Burgos' poem, My Cry Into The World / Mi Grito Hacia el Mundo. The free, bilingual, all ages performance will be overlooking Rockefeller Park and nearby playground.

Together, we will explore the parks of BPC, and see what makes this spot a hang-out for urban birds and marvelous migrators! Binoculars and field guides provided, or bring your own.
